I’m Brian, and I started NorthForkHunt for one reason: I got tired of gear advice that reads like it was written by someone who’s never sat in a treestand at 5 AM in November.
I hunt. I’ve spent enough seasons to know the difference between gear that earns its price and gear that just costs a lot. This site focuses on the premium end of hunting gear and apparel — the stuff from companies like Sitka, Cabela’s, and Bass Pro Shops — because when you’re ten miles from the truck in freezing rain, “good enough” isn’t.
Here’s how NorthForkHunt works:
- I research and compare hunting gear, with an emphasis on quality and real-world performance.
- When I recommend a product, I link to where you can buy it. If you buy through my links, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That’s what keeps the lights on here.
- I don’t recommend gear I wouldn’t use myself. If something’s overpriced for what it delivers, I’ll say so — even if it costs me a commission.
